2008 NCAA Lacrosse Championships

My Alma Mater, Syracuse University, won it's 10th National Championship in Lacrosse this weekend!!! Here's a shot of the game play in the reflection of my friend's shades. The game took place at Gillette Stadium this year - also home of the New England Patriots!

The Old State House

The Old State House, the oldest surviving public building in Boston, was built in 1713 to house the government offices of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. It stands on the site of Boston's first Town House of 1657-8, which burned in 1711.

I can't tell a lie - Christmas time makes me giddy like a small child. Especially when there are giant trees with lights and decorations on them in places where there aren't typically giant trees. This giant tree is located in Quincy Market... a favorite outdoor shopping center of tourists and residents alike.

The Red Sox won The World Series in a quick sweep... here are the only decent images I got at the Rolling Rally Parade... All of the players and team personal rode along on Duck Boats from Fenway Park to Government Center. It was quick the spectacle!

So, what's up with the Starbucks cup you ask? I was up late watching the Sox win game the American League pennant and was pleasantly surprised when my local barista actually spelled my name with a 'k' on my coffee cup... that never happens!

The sky was a perfect shade of blue today. I enjoy how the bright red crane contrasts against the beautiful horizon.

Pumpkin Festival

I volunteered at this year's Camp Sunshine Pumpkin Festival in City Hall Plaza. Over 20,000 pumpkins were carved, displayed, and lit! It was quite a sight!

I prefer to not post photographs of the same subject matter back-to-back, but I was looking up at the Bank of America building today and couldn't help taking this photo. It is worth mentioning that I currently have colleagues in India who call snapshots "snaps" ... a term we don't use here in the USA - or at least Boston - but I love it!! So, here is my snap of what locals call "The Pregnant Building" in the financial district.

I love when it's been cloudy all day and there is a sudden break in the sky where the sun shines through. Today was one of those days... and here is the sun peaking out and reflecting off of a building in Downtown Crossing. If you look at the top of the building, you can see Gargoyles acting as mini buttresses.
